Heanric shook his head. “In that case we will indeed be glad of the extra toops. I will see is I can get a few more moved over, but that wont be until things are underway. So a month or two given how they are moving, but we want you here encase we are wrong about the time.”
De nodded. It will also give us a chance to get to know the area. All right I am turning in. Guys try not to make it to rough for our employers. I know they said to not worry about offending them, but don’t take it to far. I think you are shocking him enough.”
Warren smiled. “Fine, I will try and leave it at this Sis. And I was trying to be discreet, but well I wanted to know how Char was and this seemed better than just barging in. It is not like we are making out.” ‘It is temping to lean over and kiss Luke, but you see I’m not. So give me a few points.’
De choked, and Luke shrugged. “That would be one way, but it is better to wait.”
De shook her head. “You all are imposable. I will be so glad when Charity gets back here. Sir I fear they are going to make you regret telling them to act like they were home in our camp sight. As they are determined to take you at your words. If they get to out of hand let me know and I will see it stops. The flirting and teasing can get a bit much at time.”
Charity was laughing. ‘Tell her to tell Chad I said hi, and to sleep well. You guys are evil.’
Luke said. “Charity said to tell Chad Hi for her and sleep well. Go on I know he is waiting.” ‘We will not push it any further, I give you my word. We did agree to teasing only. No kissing outside of the tents, but no hiding who is going into what tent. Yes he is going to be upset, but might as well get it sorted now.’
De laughed. “Night and you all get some sleep to.” She left shaking her head and think this was going to be a long trip.
Heanirc looked at them. “I am not sure I want to know what is going on here.”
Luke said. “I am sure you can work it out if you wanted to. Now then I will leave and let you two find out why Sis is upset. Warren you take care of him tonight, and stop worrying about us. That Sir, might help you out a bit.” ‘Yes Sis Mike told me to say it. We might as well give him what warning we can. Now you tell them what is troubling you, and let them help you. I know you didn’t want the servant, but that shouldn’t have you that upset. Sleep well, and travail safe, but don’t wish. I promise I will be have and see Jab plays nice for you.’
Charity said. ‘Sorry I didn’t think I was broadcasting. Just been a strange day, you know how I love been in charge so them setting me as the ranking officer didn’t help. Sleep well, and yes if you are going to be open Heanric needs the warning. More so as we will be walking into a full house. Relax all Father can do is yell, and that doesn’t matter a bit. We have our place and so need not fear his actions anymore.’
Inspector Hearnic coughed. “I would think that would be a bit hard on you all. Isn’t it a bit strange?”
Luke let go of Jabri’s hand then said, as he was standing up. “Likely it looks it from the outside, but it works for us. It is easier if we know each other spends as few a nights alone as we can mange. Though of course there are times it can’t be helped. Now don’t keep her talking to late you two, and get some sleep your selves. I am sure the ones watching her will see she does. Night Sir, I had best go before I am getting dragged away.” He turn and left.
Lord Heanirc shook his head. “Now I am starting to understand why Knight Hick said I might want to meet you all so I had time to recover. Let Charity know He will be waiting at the gate, as he lives not far from it. He is one of Luke’s old teachers and has met her before so will know who she is. I think I had best go to find my tent before I am even more lost.”
Warren smiled. “Night sir, sorry for making things harder on you, but well sometimes it is to hard not to tease.”
One of the others nodded. “Ay, don’t let him get to you, he does it to all of us at some point. More so when he knows our old places were a tad conserivte. He just has to see if he can get us to blush, and without Chairty here to hold them back any they get a bit bolder about it. though me for a bit to, there odd relationship. But it works for them.”
Warren laughed. “Hay, I’m just sitting here, and talking to Char. I’m not doing anything. Char has made it to the plains, and so far everything is on track. She might even be a bit early then she thought. If you will let the rest know.”
He said. “Yes, and good to know, that should get them turning in. Now you tell her not to rush, we will be good and see you are. Don’t want her taking risks to get back to you.”
Jabari said. “Kaneb won’t let her go buffalo chancing, and Garstern will see they don’t push it to much. I’m not worried about that, and I gave her my word I would behave.” One the others were gone he said. ‘It is just Warren and I here so Love now then what is wrong, and don’t tell me nothing is. You are upset about something. Is it that you must take the servant?’
Charity said. ‘A bit, turns out it someone we know. Who failed to tell us what his program was. Which as you know is the same as lying about it, under the servant’s code. Never mind I can understand why It didn’t say. Then I asked what was going on when I saw him in the dinning hall in ropes, It answered, speaking out of turn. So see, I am being forced to go there a bit to fast. Plus he is fully trained. When I thought it was understood that wouldn’t be the case.’
Jabari wished he was there, but she had to do this. For all the caning would trouble her. I know you didn’t want it, but we knew it would be likely. Now I know they don’t expect you to use a whip and would have seen It was train to expect canes. I am missing something here.”
Charity took a breath, so wishing there was another way to say what had to be said. ‘I don’t know why I never asked Critern what he was studding. I mean he told me that the time in the army was a part of his studies. I do see why he didn’t say. He was worried you wouldn’t understand before you had then class. Then after well it might have looked a bit like sore loser to you. He feared you would think it your fault or something. I well. You see?’
Warren winced knowing why it would be harder for her this way, when it was going to be hard enough. One job one of the Regs had decided his men needed a flogging and they had walked by when the guy had the whip. She had froze in fear and there was to much pain in her eyes. So he had forced her to tell him just what had gone on, and then was ready to ride to Crater and do that Father in. No matter what she said. Hence the reason she didn’t trust him to keep Jab in line, or Jab to keep him. Even though they had given her their words they would do nothing. ‘Dear, I know it is a mess. I know you don’t want to, and having it be a close friend of Jab’s doesn’t help. However you told me they needed it.’
Charity nodded. ‘He does, I know I saw it, and felt it. But well it is so strange. And then Well Jab he is your oldest friend, I know you said you shared everything, but my bed? Is it going to be too much? Do you want to talk to him, or do you need time? He is likely a mess, as he has been waiting for me to take up the cane. He wanted to go on the post as soon as we got to the tent. But I made him wait. It had to be hard enough on Garstern to have had to bring him to me and see him at my feet. None of it is easy. I just.’
Jabari smilled. ‘I told you then I didn’t care if you wanted to take him. This doesn’t change that. I don’t care who is with you as long as someone is. Yes Love, if you can take it I would like you to bring him in just so he knows that I am not goingto let this come between us. For all it means change.’
Charity walked over and to Critern and said. “Jabari wants to talk to you. You may speak freely to him. You know how the links work.” She then placed her hand on his back and pulled him in.
Critern winced a bit, hoping he wasn’t flooding the to bad, but shielding was the same as hiding and so he couldn’t do it. Therefore all three of them were feeling his need for each of them, and for the caning he was waiting on. He was hoped it wasn’t top much for the other one to find out a stranger wanted him that way. But the tie he had to Charity made it impossible for it to be any other way. ‘Sorry for this mess. I should have told you when I went to father and asked to take the training, if not before. I just didn’t know how to explain. You frowned when you saw a servant, I knew it troubled you how such were kept among us. I didn’t know how to tell you I wanted that, you were to important to me, though I didn’t fully understand. I thought after you learned a bit more about our ways, for I knew you would take the classes even though you didn’t, I could tell you. Then. Well it just got too tangled. I was so pulled to mistress, that I failed to see you were, and so I made a mess I didn’t know how to fix. I am sorry, and Sir, I do hope my needs are not shocking you.’
Charity said. ‘I should have thought and set up a bit of shield. Warren are you all right? I didn’t even think how he would react to you.’
Warren smiled. ‘I am just wondering what to say to De when she sees him waiting on me as well. I have never really told sis how tied I was to all of you, as odd as it is. No Boy it is not too much. If anything it helped, as it has gotten Char to relax a bit.’
Jab laughed. ‘Warren, love, she knows. She is who told me I needed to talk to you as you had been so careful to stay away. Not that I knew just what she ment. But it was her words that led to me force to the two of you back into bed. Cri this is odd, but you are always going to have a place in my life even though that place has changed. I am upset you felt you couldn’t tell me, but we will wait tell we can talk in person.’
Critern said. ‘I do not know what the rules will let happen there, but surely you can both take me for a walk in the woods and let me know how you feel about it. Sorry, but well it is who I am. I had no right not ti tell either of you, and you all have every reason to be upset at me for do so and making such a mess of everything. There by cause Mistress even more stress, then just having me was causing.’ They could feel he wanted to know but couldn’t ask.
Jabari said. ‘I will explain when we take that walk. For now just know you need to hold her tightly to night and reassure her you are fine when she wakes up. Also it will be separate walks. We do not want her left alone while we are in Clarkdown. Something you are orderd to see to. Yes Charity, I mean it. He can be with you when we can’t, and I won’t have to worry about you duck him like you do Asuim, for his bond won’t let it happen. I am glad of that, for all it is going to be an adjustment. No Love I will let you go call me if you need to, and talk to tomorrow night if not before. It will be fine, you are just giving him what he needs, then let him see you get some sleep. I will let your brother know who your servant is so he will understand better. In the morning that is. I do think that poor priest expects to find us all in the same tent at some point.’
Charity said. ‘Talk to you tomorrow and see you spend some time sleeping as well dears. As for the priest. Well that is likely so. I fear I scared the man a good deal. Well Warren can tell you of those last weeks. He will recover, as long as you give him time. Night guys.’ With that she broke the link and turned to Critern. Took a breath picked up a cane and saw his back turned red, and would be very sore for the next few weeks, as it couldn’t be healed. He need to feel it fully, as much as she hated it. It was less then most of hers had been, but still it had her back hurting with the memory. Though not as bad as it had hit her the first time she used a cane. Sehiam had been able to help her get past a lot of it. Once he was recovered enough to stand she undid the cuffs and took him to bed.
