That won’t.” Kat said. “Yes I said Dragons, the emperor of Sky Range is a dragon and the majority of the population there are dragons or changelings. There are some humans as well, but the energy is high there so most show signs of it. Dragons can’t cross, so there will never be any here as long as the shield is there. The traders that come here will be changelings. There is nothing to fear. Being a different race doesn’t mean monsters. There might not be many humans in Sky Range, but the dragons come into the towns all the time and never has it been a problem.” Doug said. “Some are scared others are just startled. No doubt you will be getting a number of questions about dragons now. Go ahead and summon the faeries for the messages. That that have a problem will recover. All here should have enough since to know there is no danger from it.” Kat shook her head but summoned them. “I know some here are upset by them and it could have waited. Two fairies pop in and took the papers then looked at her, clearly saying something the others couldn’t here. One stomped his foot. “Yes, I am getting to it, but I need to explain what it is.” She looked around the table and took a package out of her bag, frowning a bit. John and Petter don’t like rings, so I found something else for them to exchange.” She opened the package, and smiled at the gasps from those that saw them. She had to say something about the spells before they asked. Yet she didn’t want it all known. So make it less than it was. “Some of you in here can see they are spelled. These have a modified form of the spell used to track ships. Meaning each bracelet will know where the other is. It is common for wedding bands. To help the spell they need to wear each others band until they exchange them. They are also spelled to fit the person, so when the exchange them they will fit perfectly for all there wrist are different.” She picked up the narrower one. “John this is Petters, so if you will take it now, and then put it on him at the ceremony. If you do so then only you can remove it from his wrist.” She held it out, he took it and looked at it in wonder. She took up the wider one and offered it to Petter. “Likewise if you place it on him then only you can remove it. Thus you both know that the other has it on.” She flushed a bit. “I meant to this privatively, but well. They wanted to see your reactions.” They were both just looking them over. Doug laughed. “So that is what was stopping you from calling them. I thought you were just thinking some of the others would pass out from the outrage. I think it is plane they like them. Mealina worried was.” He took one of the treaties, bowed and left. The other one followed. Kat shook her head. “Yes they can talk so you can hear them, they just don’t do so often. He wanted it clear that it was his demand as he could tell you didn’t believe me. I am surprised at how well done they are and wonder if they didn’t have something started before I asked. They are from a Sky Mount jeweler.” Doug has passed his down the other side of the table. I know that there is reason to worry when spelled items are given to Royalty, but I assure you it is safe. I know the details of the spells even though I didn’t do them all.” Wills said. “There are no worries on my part, I know you would never let anything close to them that would hurt them. These are perfect. I do think it is going to start a trended.” Kat said. “Likely that is what was intended by making them so elaborate. I am very pleased at how well done they are.” John nodded. “Now don’t take it wrong that we are not putting them on right now. We need to let the ladies see them first. Going to try and and get a few more people to cross.” Doug said. “A court picnics at the ruins is being worked in. That should help. Kat said. “If I am there then Milly will be. Say if it will help I can see if she is willing to come close to shield so there are more sitings. Milly would be the small dragon that are a few stories about. She would love to cause more but has been trying to be good.” Richared said. “So there is one? Would she come and talk to the students?” Kat said. “She would be happy to, she has no problem answering questions about dragons. I think she is helping some in the village school actually. Anyway she said they had found her something to do as the kids liked having her there. Just remember she can’t cross. Milly is small enough to ride on my shoulder, so shouldn’t be scary, but still some find her so.” Aminger said. “All the same I do think that more stories of her will help. More of the ones of her taking a cookie, not particularly burring the bandits pants. For all it has gotten a lot of laughs.” Kat said. “She insists she just asked for a bite of the cookie. She didn’t steal it and the pants wasn’t her doing the fool jumped into his fire. She was just retrieving the horse he stole. The cookie I believe, the pants. Well he had made a child cry when he took the horse so she likely did singe them. I will let her know, but it is going to mean more complaints from hikers. She loves bake goods, and will ask for a bite.” He smiled. “Sounds good. Say if we put up a few warnings about it that should help the stories spread. This is going to be good. I bet we will see a boost for the rest of year after this,” He left still talking and that got the others to start going. John and Doug saw they started to the rooms where the others were. As they reached it John said. “I bet that Milly is going to love being a tourist attraction. She is a bit of a player. The way she had fun diving at the guards, not to mention taking Petter’s roll. We will have to remember to tell the cooks that we need extra bread. Of course being a court diner they might just insist on cooking part of the meal there. Those ovens do work, after all. Remember when that wave took everything out here and we had that big fair out there? For all it has been five years, I bet a few will be glad of the excuse. So you think we could? After all there is the city meals after the Coronation, so. It should be that hard to see the area there is safe. There are two weeks to get it set up, and it was set up something like six hours before.” Doug said, as he opened the door. “Fred and Dawn are going to love this. As well Aminger. Yes, indeed. They have found recopies that they want to try out. It is the first time a lot from the inter cities will be so close so we want to get a lot of them to cross. So why not have event over there?” Dawn nodded. “Perfect! In fact we had just had such word. That they felt some food should be fixed there. I do think they will love having the day to play. And we can get mage lights up in the evening, go a bit late. It should be safe right? I haven’t heard of any dangers.” Cheetah said. “There is very little that would be a problem with Milly there, but there have been no reports of anything dangerous. Still I will see that a sweep is done at night to make sure.” Kat nodded. “Also let them know that it is fine for the gentler forms to be seen. That will lead to some crossing in hopes of seeing a monster. It will add work for the officers, but I think they will forgive it.” Wills nodded. “Yes, I do think they will enjoy it. They do get a kick out of the tails of sixty feet dragons changing them. There are posters in the guard houses with a picture of Milly, say this is just a cookie monster, perfectly harmless. Yet they still get reports. I think she is enjoying her self.” Kat nodded. “Likely there will be a few more over here soon, given the stories she is send home.” Doug said. “After the shift I bet that they will be all over the city. A lot of places have started putting up fairy houses in hopes that they will be liked. Wouldn’t surprise me a bit if larger ones started showing up for dragons.” Kat nodded. “And once the kids learn that Milly will gladly talk to them the designs will be altered. Just hope it doesn’t lead to more school skipping.” Cheetah said. “Milly has been good and seen to it that most sightings of her close by are on the weekends, so that should help.” Zander said. “You must be a friend of Kat’s.” It was clear that he didn’t think they should be there, but was trying not to say that. John said. “Cheetah is my replacement, as I can’t do the seconds work after the ceremony. Sis did recommend them for the post, but Wills and I were the ones that hired them. It is not easy to remember that I need a guard myself, that by trying to be Petter’s I am just increasing the risk. Cheetah is able to tell me when I need to step back. They are as good at Sis when it comes to making it clear they think I am being a fool.” Zander shook his head, but said nothing. Yet his face said that it was not acceptable, that he thought John was a fool for letting Cheetah take on the task of keeping them safe. However as he didn’t voice it John saw no reason to. They won’t let you track me, but these will, and you will have a way to reach me before I leave.” She held out two necklaces. Petter had handed his to Ruth, and smiled as he took the necklace. “Thank you sis. I didn’t expect you to give us one before you left, but it will help to have it. I am glad that you have something linked to these and that Cheetah and Panther will as well. I do think the cuffs are going to start a new trend.” John nodded, handing the pins out. “Indeed it is a help. Thank you sis.
