50939! I did it. And I have my replament keyboad!

The day before the Ceremony Jade and Glade entered the house looking exhausted. Henry went to the food and started fixing them a plate as Jade walked over to Oliver. Oliver looked at them startled. “I though you were stay on base.” Then he got a good look at them. “What happened? Sit before you fall.”
Jade said. “It is a mess, Gurnner is making the report at the office, but those here need it as well. However, it is disturbing, so we need to get away from young ears. It has a chance of affecting Earth so they to have an interest in this, but as I said it is disturbing so some might not want to hear.” She did sit, she was to upset by what had been seen. “We should likely move, but I am a bit more upset than I thought I was. I. I will be glad when the bond is set and I can get out there and check the stones. There is something we are not seeing.”
One of the others said. “Stay put, Glade there is a chair next to her. I will go clear the area so you can talk Now just try and get a drink and a few bites of food. Give those that want to here time to find seats near and me to get a buffer zone set.”
Glade handed her a glass and took the chair. “Take a sip, it will help. Don’t worry we will get out there soon. No one has seen anything to suggest that there is an alarm failure. So it is likely communication channels that we are missing. We will plant new transmitters as we go. Get as many as we can so we can get more bands covered. I think most are all watching the same bands.” Jade took a drink and relaxed a bit, put the glass down and took the plate Henry had.
Oliver said. “That was a bit troubling. I get needing to see the stones, I expected that was where you would be going. However just why are you worrying about the alarms?”
Glade said. “To start with the lights at Holten changed from Warning to danger for three hours, then went back, but remain at the the elevated level, so something big was close to the shield they watch. We can’t get more than that from them, but that is enough to make it more imported to get to the larger devices. We have ships going to the ones we can reach, but one only Jade has been able to. Having to wait after getting this news was causing some stress, but it won’t be long now. Then as we were starting back there was a call from Gurnner in the sector next to ours. He had stumbled on to ten Claxton war ships. We of course turn that way, and good thing we did as the ten turned into a complete Wing. No idea how they got there. They weren’t detected before they fired. That was bad enough.”
Jade nodded. “Not that they were a problem for us. Once I was there to direct the formations a bit better, we were not have any real trouble. That changed though. I don’t want it but there is no way to deny what happened.” She took a breath. “Two Bltain War cruisers, Litghen class joined the fight. Luckily only one wing of fighters from each, but it was still. We got some reinforcements from Dealta or we wouldn’t have been able to push them back. Yes all fighter wings were out two minutes after they were there. I am very pleased with that time, given we hadn’t run a full drill with both crews. Still they were faster than ours. The shields weren’t strong but the speed was a problem. As is the fact that what the hell were they doing out of their space? And working with the Claxtons? So is it a one time thing or is there an Alliance out there and how big if so? That is why I am sure we are missing something. We waited until the next shift showed, which means I pushed a bit to much. However it was the only thing to do. We had to be sure there was someone watching. They were not defeated so could just be waiting for us to leave. That is why I am so pale. Then we got more news.” She shook her head and said. “It is from the Daltons, but they sent the readings and pictures. They had a Destroyer just a few miles across the border. Sent a fighter for a closer look.” She held out the pictures. “This is the heading, they tracked as far as they safely could. If there is one, then. That increases the danger to the planets out there. So I contacted the Genromes, to see if they would help. They have a list they are working on now. Earth is on it, but they are willing to stay to the lower tec areas for the planet they have set up and will get the Hixtions to help fix Colony and to move people there once more is seen in the area. Yes they will be taking them off the streets and out of their homes, but not before it is at Red. They have already moved three planets that were at preflight levels. The next is one that is just making its first trips, it will be moved in a few hours. Well here is the list, and this is the Hixtions. As you see it is not just Earth they will be taking people from, but all that we have been working with a few that refused us. They have never acted without cause and seldom have they been wrong. I have left a message asking to be filled in, but it has to go before the elders, and then there will be limits on what I can share if they answer. My hope is just to be given a hint of where to look for the answers. That will be the best, if they tell me then we should be at orange because time is short.”
Oliver said. “You are sure. I can’t yet the pictures are real. Yes I would have tried to reach them as well on seeing this. I would want to know if they were moving. To hear they are. Yes we need to go to yellow at least. This is bigger than the Claxtons if they are getting involved. What is out there? Why are they? It has been a hundred years since they were heard from, officially. Two hundred since we knew of a moving. Yet they are moving more than one, and quickly?”
 Jade looked at Fred and June, then the others there. Wondering just what to say. She had to explain more. It was just to much. They had not had enough time to learn just what was out there. Fred of course knew, but he didn’t believe her. “We will do all we can, but this is scary. Genromes are older than any of us and seldom seen, but watch over worlds and see it as their task to see that no civilization is wiped out. Not that they can always do it, but they have saved a lot. We wouldn’t be here if not for them, and are not the only ones that owe them a debt. We do not understand their tec, we can barely talk to them, thy are so different. Somehow they are able to scan a world and make a near duplicate of it. They then do something that makes it possible for them to go in and move everyone on the planet without them knowing it. Any star charts are changed to match the new skies, memories are altered just a bit for those that are not in space yet. They never know, really for all they will have stories of things changing, places moving. They will fade in time. Those that have a better understand of their world, that are more advanced of course know more and will record it but only those that have attained space flight truly know they are not on the planet, for all they have the star charts of their new neighborhood they will still know. As I said they have contacted others and are letting them see to most of Earth. It will be explained to those on Colony that others are going to do building, then in a matter of days there will be towns and cities that are close to those on Earth. Once they are done they will start moving people into them. They will not ask, just take them. Where they are moving to a place that others have settled they will not bother to see that it is not remembered they were taken. So there is going to be protest and anger. However, it means little will be lost. Yet it makes it unlikely that we will be able to return anyone to Earth, even  if we are able to save it. We will try just as hard to do so, but they will not move them back and the anger of being moved will make it unlikely that they will trust us. We do understand, but we can’t do anything to stop the actions.”
No one said anything, no one knew what to say it was to much. June said. “It should help some that it isn’t you that does the moving. More so if those on there back that up. Still if they do not do this lightly, well. We know you will do all you can, but this seems to suggest they believe it wont be enough. Who are those others? That is are they a bigger threat in terms of the planets safety?”
Fred said. “Yes it will help if it is the case that it is clearly not any they know that stole their homes. They have made four unlivable, but it isn’t like they would cause the Old ones to act. The ones they attacked were involved in the fighting they left all others alone. Well they did take over a few, possessing as gods but that sort of action has never caused a move. If they are doing this then it is likely they have seen others moving, and that is the problem. There are those out there that we have little defense save for the walls left us by older races. They should be gone, but some were among those found with Jade. None of this tracks. It is to convent. Yes I see the photo, and the flag on it. However we must consider the source.”
Jade said. “I saw the radar. It was broadcasting live, they were not faking it. More over I was updating Mul when they started broadcasting it. He was getting the exact same thing I was. Pirates might lie to outsiders, but not to those of Power. You know that. No interference orders were going out for all the listed worlds. Thon likely has it waiting in his messages now. It is real, and alarming. I don’t want it to be but it is.”She handed her empty plate to Henry. “No more that will be enough, I am going to go to bed. I will be over this and ready for the ceremonies in the morning, and more stable after they are done. I am sorry for scarring everyone. This is to much. They would not show the large ships unless they thought it was safe, unless they-had back up. I mean they have been sure to stay out of sight so. I know nothing has been heard or seen, but that makes it worse. Sorry, but well there is no reason to hide it. You will find books on the past wars in the library. There should be a list of all the walls and what caused them in there as well. You should see it so you  have some idea what we are talking about when something is reported.”
Oliver said. “I will see the child friendly posters are hung up again  and the other references are pulled out. I should have seen to it sooner, but just wasn’t thinking. It is not only the hostile races, there are a lot that they haven’t met and we do forget that when talking about people. It has to make them think it is something they should know. Now go on before you fall asleep there. “
Jade nodded and stood up. “All is staying on base as planed, but there is no way I can, even if I could make it back there. I need to be in my room tonight, but as tired as I am it should be fine. Still, it wouldn’t hurt you put a few extra shields on that part of the hall. I don’t think there will be any more spill then normal, but best to be safe.” She looked at the others. “Bondings can affect those close to the pair, more so if those in it are tightly tied. Holding it off as I have is going to make those effects stronger. It shouldn’t happen until after but there were some small ripples this morning, hence the reason these in a relationship were a bit more inclined to touch each other I was worried it would get stronger and lead to some clothes coming off at times when they wouldn’t so meant to stay away. However given this I had to come here. Still as tried as we are I don’t think that there is going to much of a worry tonight and we will be gone early, so with luck it just means a few are longer getting up. Don’t worry we will not be back here until the bond is set, meaning those effects are not happening. It is just as it sets, hence there are places away from those not trained in the care of the ways of bonds and why only the first have the pledging is done in public. I hope that my news doesn’t lead to troubled dreams. Know you are safe here. None have ever breached the wall that guards these worlds and it will be raised well before anything is close enough to be a threat, so nothing will be seen here, we are far from the border. That to needs be hung, the chart showing the walls and our location, also Colony. Now I need to go, Glade you need to walk next to me, I am seeing only the spells again.”
Glade put his arm around her and started walking so she would, they needed to get out of sight before he picked her up. “Come on, I thought it was. It is fine, truly, she is just over tired. It is nothing to worry about. We won’t see you in the morning so will say by know, and see you in a week or so. Sleep well.” He got her out of the room and around a corner then picked her up and nodded at Henry, who then gated them to the room so they could get her into bed.
